The Seagull is magnificent, the finest production of chekhov that i have ever known. When I saw The Seagull in London, I couldn't imagine it being much better, yet it has only ripened and deepened. Kristin Scott Thomas is excellent, giving a funny, brave performance. Peter Sarsgaard is brilliant. Mackenzie Crook is superlative.This beautiful production is, to make honest use of the language of hucksters, a limited, once-in-a-lifetime offer,as the show runs only through Dec. 21. -Ben Brantley, The New York Times
